1. Course Requirments
   A-level German or equivalent.

2. Unit courses
   Year 1: GE193 or GE194, GE107, GE108; two sets of ML/GE linked units (4 units in total) 2 further units
   Year 2: GE194 or GE195, 6 GE units (up to 2 GE units may be replaced by ML units)
   Year 3: GE399 (project)
   Year 4: GE196 or GE 197, 6 SML units including at least 4 GE units

3. Special requirements
   Year 3 will be spent abroad. (Part-time students will normally be expected to spend a total of 3 months in a country where the language is spoken nationally).
