Regulations for the Schools of the Faculty:
Politics
  1. In the first year (Part I) eight subjects will be studied and examined as follows:
    Semester one:
    PO101, PO105, ST107, plus one option from the Social Sciences list.
    Semester two:
    PO102, PO106, plus (subject to any prerequisites) two units from the Social Sciences list. Modern Language (if double unit option taken)

  2. Year 2
    Semester one:
    PO203, PO207, PO251. One further unit shall be selected from Politics options, an approved Social Sciences unit or single unit Modern Language option.
    Semester two:
    PO252, ST222. Two further units shall be selected from the list of second year Politics units.

  3. Year 3 In the third year eight units will be studied and examined as follows:
    Semester one:
    Three units from the list of level 3 Politics Units.
    Semester two:
    Three units from the list of level 3 Politics units.
    Both semesters:
    Dissertation on an approved topic in Politics (PO398/399).

  4. In Years 2 and 3 a candidate can select in lieu of an optional Politics unit, one Social Sciences unit (subject to prerequisites) provided that only two such units are taken overall.
