Economics and Modern Languages (French & German)

1. Year 1
   
   

   Semester one:

   An approved Economics unit, an approved Quantitative Methods unit, Language unit; one Social Sciences unit (excluding AM109, ST107).

   Semester two:

   EC102, an approved Quantitative Methods unit, Language unit, language department unit. Students are required to pass all language units before progressing to the next year of the programme.

2. Year 2
   
   

   Semester one:

   EC221, Language unit

   Semester two:

   EC222, Language unit

   Either semester:

   two units chosen from the Language list; two units chosen from the Economics list Students are required to pass all language units before progressing to the next year of the programme.

3. Year 3
   
   To be spent abroad, arranged by the Arts Faculty:
   1. in a school as a language assistant, or
   2. in commerce and industry, or
   3. as a University student.

4. Year 4
   
   

   Semester one:

   EC363, Language unit

   Semester two:

   Language unit

   Both semesters:

   EC390, plus one unit from the Economics list, plus two units from the Language list, plus one and only one of EC362, EC367, EC368.
