Regulations for the School of Social Sciences:
Population Sciences

1. In the first year (Part I) eight subjects will be studied and examined as follows:

Semester one:
STAT1001, STAT1003 + 2 units from the Social Sciences list.

Semester two:
STAT1002, HIST1026 + 2 units from Social Sciences list (they must not include STAT1002).
AT least 1 unit in Economics and at least 1 unit in Sociology must be selected.

2. Year 2

Semester one:
STAT2001, STAT2003.

Semester two:
STAT2002, STAT2004, STAT2009

Both semesters:
3 units from Social Sciences list to include at least 1 unit from STAT2006, STAT2015, STAT2016, STAT2007, STAT2017, STAT2018, Modern Language (single or double)

Not more than 4 units in total may be taken from STAT2006/STAT3007, STAT2015/STAT3016, STAT2016/STAT3017, STAT2007/STAT3009, STAT2017/STAT3018 and STAT2018/STAT3019 in years 2 and 3.

3. Year 3

Semester one:
STAT3008.

Semester two:
STAT3003, STAT3005

Both Semesters:
3 units from Social Sciences list to include at least 1 unit from STAT3007, STAT3016, STAT3017, STAT3009, STAT3018, STAT3019, Modern Language (single or double) + Either STAT3006 (2 units) in semester 1 OR STAT3022 in semester 1 and 2.

Not more than 4 units in total may be taken from STAT2006/STAT3007, STAT2015/STAT3016, STAT2016/STAT3017, STAT2017/STAT3018, and STAT2018/STAT3019 in years 2 and 3.
