1. The CAS Counselling Supervision will be awarded by Senate on the recommendation of the Faculty Board to candidates who have satisfactorily completed a programme of part-time study, who have satisfied the examination requirements and who have met the minimum 80% attendance requirements for the programme.
   
   
2. As a part-time programme, the period of study will normally extend over not less than 1 year and not more than 2 years.
   
   
3. Applicants for admission to the programme must normally hold a degree in counselling or equivalent qualifications/experience, and have a minimum of two years post-qualification counselling experience.
   
   
4. This Level M programme comprises a single unit of 60 credits.
   
   
5. Examination will be by assessment of a portfolio of written work, clinical practice and such other methods of examination as are approved by the Faculty Board as appropriate to the programme. Candidates who have successfully completed the unit and any additional subject specific requirements will be recommended to Senate for the award of CAS Counselling Supervision.
   
   
6. The pass mark for all elements is 40%. A Distinction will be awarded to candidates whose average mark for all elements is 70% or higher.
   
   
7. Subject to the approval of the Faculty Board, candidates who have been unsuccessful in the examination of any element may normally submit themselves to be re-examined in that element on one occasion only. The conditions for the re-examination of each candidate shall be prescribed by the Faculty Board.
   
   

Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision

To achieve this award you must study one part-time Masters level unit, which lasts one academic year.
