Molecular Cell Biology

1. Programme requirements

A-level: passes in two (preferably three) science subjects. If Chemistry is not offered at A-level then it must be offered at AS-level, two AS-level passes will be regarded as equivalent to one A-level in most circumstances.

Core and Compulsory units (core units in bold)

First year: BIOL1006; BIOL1007; BIOL1008; BIOL1011; BIOL1013; CHEM1002, CHEM1007 and one other approved unit.
Second year: BIOL2002; BIOL2010; BIOL2011; BIOL2013; BIOL2014; BIOL2015; plus two further BS2 units. Either BIOL2010 or BIOL2011, and either BIOL2014 or BIOL2015, must be passed and will be regarded as core units.
Third year: Eight units of Molecular and/or Cell Biology (BS3 or FM) approved by Biological Sciences, to include BIOL3031 and BIOL3032, or BIOL3035/BIOL3046
