MSc Maritime Engineering Sciences

Taught Modules and Detailed Programme Structure

There are 6 themes (specialisations) within the Maritime Engineering Science programme of study. Each theme consists of 8 compulsory modules (totalling 80 CATS points) and 4 optional modules (totalling 40 CATS points) chosen from a list of modules appropriate to your selected theme. At least 90 CATS points for each theme are at level M. List 1 details all of the modules for the programme of study, together with the unit code and credit points associated with the module. Table 2 illustrates which modules comprise each theme within the programme of study. The research project and dissertation are equivalent to 60 CATS points at level M.
