Regulations for the classification of final degree results, based on a new University-wide scheme, will be applied to all students commencing the first year of a classified honours degree programme in the academic year 2006/7. These regulations will be available in the Calendar from January 2007 and will also be notified direct to affected students. Where the revised University regulations differ from those currently included in the Calendar under Faculty, School or individual programme regulations, the revised University regulations will apply.
Regulations covering the consideration of cases where a student's performance in any assessment has been adversely affected by exceptional circumstances outside of his/her control are currently under development and will be posted here in January 2007. Students who feel that their performance may have been affected by such circumstances should consult their School for details of the specific procedures to follow.
