Regulations for the Certificate of Higher Education by Part-time Study

The Certificate course is based on a unit structure of eight units of 15 credit points each toalling 120 credit points at Level 1. Candidates normally need an overall passing grade of 40% or above in each unit to be eligible for the Certificate. Candidates may fail up to two optional units (ie: 30 credits), whether for academic or appropriately evidenced personal reasons, and still be awarded the Certificate subject to the University's regulations. Eligibility for the Certificate will be determined by the Examinations Board at the completion of all eight units (ie: 120 credits). Candidates are entitled to re-take optional units if they wish but must re-take core units if they fail or do not complete them. The course of study will commence from enrolment on the first unit and must be not less than two academic years and no more than five. Candidates wishing to re-take units must do so within this period.
