The General Academic Regulations which are in Section IV (General Academic Regulations) of the University Calendar apply to and regulate the programmes listed above.

On occasion, programmes can be exempted from one or more of the clauses in the General Academic Regulations, or one or more of the clauses can be varied.

  • Exemptions are characterised by the omission of the relevant clause.
  • Variations are characterised by the replacement of the clause with alternative wording.
The programmes listed have approval from the Academic Quality and Standards Committee for the exemptions and/or variations to the regulations noted below.

Exemptions
The clause(s) listed below describe where a variation to the General Regulations exists.
 
The year abroad on the LLB (Hons) (European Legal Studies) and LLB (Hons) (International Legal Studies) are exempt from section 4. Referral and section 5. Repeat of the Progression, Determination and Classification of Results for Undergraduate and Integrated Masters Programmes
 
Students failing their year abroad will not have the opportunity of referral or repeat and will progress to Part 3 of the LLB (Hons) programme.
